El Campello

Welcome to
El Campello

If you are looking for a place next to the Mediterranean that can take you back in time and tell you a lot about the history of the Valencian Community, El Campello is your destination. Find it out!

El Campello is a privileged place. Located in the heart of the Costa Blanca, one step away from its main cities, just 10 kilometers from Alicante and 30 from Benidorm, it is a town with a deep seafaring flavor that has managed to transform itself, without losing its roots, into a tourist town.

Its 23 kilometers of coastline, the longest in the province of Alicante, are an oasis for the senses. On this long shore, you will find golden sand beaches such as Muchavista and Carrer la Mar that give way to the peaceful coves that appear behind Illeta: from Morro Blanc to Carritxal. Beaches and coves, all of them, ideal for practicing water sports. The defense and conservation of our coasts have earned the distinction of blue flags on the Carrer la Mar and Muchavista beaches, as well as ISO 14001 environmental quality certifications, for the quality of bathing water, the care and cleanliness of its surroundings, ISO 9,001 for its services and equipment for all the beaches and ISO 170,000 for ‘Global Accessibility’ for people with disabilities.

Beaches

With a coastline of 23 km, El Campello offers a varied and attractive coastline. Next to the port and the old fishing district, Platja del Carrer La Mar, regenerated with fine golden sand, runs parallel to the pedestrian promenade which, together with the promenade of the port, constitutes the center of leisure and entertainment. Finally, Platja de Muchavista extends to the south for more than 3 km until it merges with the beach of San Juan. And in its extreme north cliffs and secluded coves with transparent waters follow one another.

This extensive set of beaches, together with exceptional weather conditions throughout the year, make this enclave an ideal place to practice all kinds of water sports promoted by the Club Náutico (water sports schools) and a wide range of associations and companies of fishing, diving, surfing…

Parties

El Campello has managed to preserve its traditional festivals, giving them greater splendor and roots each year for the enjoyment of residents and visitors. From January 5 with the characteristic Cavalcade of Los Reyes Magos to the New Year’s Eve party, there is a wide variety of celebrations: Carnival, Semana Santa, Fiestas de la Cruz, etc. Among them, two should be highlighted, the ones with the greatest participation and spectacularity. The Fiestas de la Virgen del Carmen, around the 16th of July, with endless activities for several days, culminating in the seafaring procession and the singing of the Salve, and the Moros y Cristianos, from the 11th to the 15th of October, which begin with the moorish landing on the beach to continue with a multitude of events, including embassies, colorful parades and flower offerings.
